The people of Hans Island yearn to breathe free! Free from the oppression of Canadian and Danish interlopers!
We have just updated the guestbook and thank everyone for their kind words except for the person who said "what's the big deal, it's just one tiny island" .... easy for you to say, because you do not live here! But this is the place that Hans and I call home, so it is very dear to us... you would not like it if we claimed sovereignty over your living room, would you? Well, maybe that is what we will have to do if we are evicted from our home.
Many things have been happening here, after years of nothing. All of the attention of the world is upon us, where before we were ignored. Unfortunately, no women have arrived yet, but we hope that will change. Meanwhile, we are in negotiations with Santa, who might be looking at our island for a second elves' workshop.
In other news, Canada has elected a new leader who wants to make Arctic Sovereignty an issue - he is a threat! A threat to the way of the Hanses! Please help by emailing him directly to say "Canada, leave the Hanses of Hans Island alone!"
